Shooting Stars is proud to announce its latest partnership with IBN Group, the first Aboriginal Corporation to join as a corporate partner. IBN Group operates in the Pilbara and delivers programs and services that improve the lives of their members, the Yinhawangka, Banyjima and Nyiyaparli people.
IBN Group’s partnership will further support the Tom Price and Hedland sites, providing crucial transport and employment opportunities to allow these sites to expand their operations. The support also aligns with IBN Group’s goal of providing opportunities to their members within these regions.
IBNs goal of building resilience and capacity for the present and strong foundations for the future aligns with Shooting Stars and our vision of empowered Aboriginal girls and women.
This shared vision is what makes this partnership so powerful, says Shooting Stars Executive Officer, Fran Haintz. "We are thrilled to partner with IBN. In the Pilbara, our program and footprint is growing with over 150 young women engaging with Shooting Stars. To publicly announce the support of a strong organisation like IBN will reinforce to our girls how valued they are and just how important empowering Aboriginal girls and women is for strengthening communities.”
Dale Brown, CEO of IBN Group, spoke of the new partnership between IBN and Shooting Stars.
“The Board and Staff of IBN are very excited to partner with Shooting Stars. The work that Shooting Stars are doing throughout our membership’s community aligns fantastically with IBN goals. It is a great pleasure for us to partner with such likeminded organisations," he said. “We are grateful to be able to assist Shooting Stars undertake this program enabling aboriginal woman to reach their full potential."
