Our vision is Empowered Aboriginal Girls and Women. We achieve this vision through our incredible team of staff, our relationships with participants and communities, our programs, and our pathways. At the same time, can we say that we are empowering Aboriginal girls and women if we are not challenging the systems and institutions which disempower Aboriginal girls and women in the first place? Through our research – which is grounded in Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and doing, and provides a platform for our participant's and communities voices – Shooting Stars challenges the status quo.
