On average it costs $5,000 per participant to be part of the Shooting Stars Program each year. This covers the costs of uniforms, sporting equipment, learning materials, staff training and reward activities. All of this contributes to the educational, emotional and physical health and wellbeing of our participants, which in turn, helps Aboriginal girls ignite their spark and achieve their dreams.
100% of your money empowers Aboriginal girls and women in remote and regional communities. Our Underpinning Partners cover our operating costs, so you can give knowing your whole donation helps empower our participants to make informed choices about their education and employment journey.
Shooting Stars run numerous Aboriginal fundraising campaigns throughout the year, all of which help us continue our mission! From EOFY and Christmas campaigns to internal workplace fundraisers, every dollar counts and goes towards our Indigenous girls and women.
Employees make regular donations to Shooting Stars directly from their pre-tax salary, therefore receiving the tax benefit immediately rather than waiting until the end of the Financial Year.
We work closely with our Partners to develop mutually beneficial fundraising campaigns, media exposure and experiences that have incredible impact on communities.
