Get Involved
Shooting Stars is a school-based engagement program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and women. The program builds confidence, cultural identity and positive wellbeing so participating girls and young women are empowered to drive their own futures and reach their full potential. The Shooting Stars program is the primary initiative of not-for-profit organisation, Glass Jar Australia, which is an ACNC registered charity. Donations help to cover the cost of Shooting Stars uniforms, healthy meals, sporting equipment, learning materials, staff training, excursions, camps and reward activities. All of this contributes to the educational, emotional and physical wellbeing of program participants, ensuring they are empowered to reach for the stars.
Donate
100% of your donation goes towards the empowerment of Shooting Stars participants. Our Underpinning Partners cover operating costs, so you can give knowing your whole donation goes towards the advocacy, support and opportunities offered to the girls and young women in Shooting Stars.
Fundraise
Look out for our upcoming auction of a signed and framed West Coast Fever First Nations Round dress! We run plenty of fundraising campaigns throughout the year, and many of our supporters run their own Shooting Stars fundraisers.
Workplace Giving & Engagement
Employees make regular donations to Shooting Stars directly from their pre-tax salary, therefore receiving the tax benefit immediately rather than waiting until the end of the Financial Year.
Partnerships
We work closely with our Partners to develop mutually beneficial fundraising campaigns, media exposure and experiences that have incredible impact on communities.
