Shooting Stars is supporting National Close the Gap Day today with a community netball round-robin at its Kununurra site.
Shooting Stars will host four teams made up of Shooting Stars participants and community members to help raise awareness of the gap between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s and non-Indigenous Australian’s health and life expectancy, in support of the Close the Gap Campaign.
Several Aboriginal health service providers have been invited to join the event in support of the Campaign to help strengthen relationships with service providers and community.
The Close the Gap Campaign aims to close the health and life expectancy gap within a generation and is acknowledged in workplaces, hospitals, schools and communities around Australia.
Join us and over 220,000 other Australians to help support the closing of the gap.
