Dr Kickett has played a vital role in developing social work practice and policy to benefit the various Aboriginal sectors within which she has worked. Her professional commitments and community activities are extensive, and her work has been recognised by awards and scholarships.
Proud Yued and Badimia woman, Martin is a Manager for Local Content at Compass Group Australia. Martin brings with her 15 years experience working with Aboriginal communities, in the mineral and resource sector across Australia.
Walley, a proud Nyoongar man, has been recognised for his contribution to the promotion of Nyoongar culture with numerous awards such as NAIDOC Aboriginal Artist of the Year, a Medal of the Order of Australia and Citizen of the Year in the Indigenous Leadership category.
Proud Nyoongar woman, Smith Walley is a director within her family-owned business Aboriginal Productions and Promotions. She has a Degree in Community Development from Murdoch University and works within the fields of Anthropology, Adult Education, Events and Production Management.
Proud Bardi-Jawi and Nyoongar woman, Ockerby has over 15 years' experience in community development working remotely in grassroots sports, recreation and education. As former Kimberley Regional Manager of Shooting Stars, she offers valuable insight of the needs of the on-the-ground staff.
Grylls brings a wealth of knowledge in community development in regional areas after 16 years as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia and the 13th Leader of the National Party in Western Australia.
Chinnery is a commercial lawyer at Jackson McDonald with almost 10 years' experience working with a broad range of clients including corporate and government organisations, the not-for-profit sector, Indigenous trusts and corporations and private clients.
Rishelle has spent over 25 years working in Aboriginal engagement, dealing with everything from education and employment to justice and health. In 2016, Rishelle was awarded the Western Australia of the Year award in the Aboriginal category for her dedication to the Aboriginal community.
Carol has spent over 11 years working in the arts sector, focusing on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art. In 2022 she was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the Indigenous community of Western Australia.
Sasha’s experience in management, strategic planning, policy advice and community relations has brought a wealth of experience to the board. She has been involved in a range of industries such as NFP’s, mining and healthcare.
Colleen has worked for over 30 years to influence policy to reflect the needs of Aboriginal people. In 2008 she was awarded the National NAIDOC Aboriginal Person of the Year award, and in 2009 was an inductee into the WA Department of Education's Hall of Fame for Achievement in Aboriginal Education.
Martia has a wealth of netballing experience, having also sat on the board of Netball WA. She previously was the president of the Perth Netball Association and currently runs the Wembley Netball Club, and was integral to the establishment of Glass Jar Australia.
