Glass Jar Australia is delighted to announce that Jessica Logan has joined its Board of Directors.
With nearly two decades of executive leadership experience across the mining, construction and resources sectors, Jessica brings a valuable combination of governance expertise, strategic leadership and lived regional experience to the Glass Jar Australia Board.
Having lived, worked and grown up in communities across Western Australia and South Australia, including towns where Shooting Stars now operates, Jessica understands the opportunities available to, and challenges faced by, young people living in regional Australia.
In a fitting connection, Jessica is an alumna of Port Augusta Secondary School, where Shooting Stars is preparing to launch one of its newest sites this year.
Jessica has also been a long-time supporter of the program. Reflecting on her involvement with the program during her time as General Manager, People & Culture at Gold Road Resources, a highly engaged corporate partner of Shooting Stars, she said the impact of the program was clear.
"During my time at Gold Road, I had the privilege of seeing the impact of the program firsthand. The confidence, pride and ambition of the young women involved was inspiring. I saw young women who were courageous, assured of their potential and genuinely proud to be part of the program. That's incredibly powerful," she said.
Jessica's commitment to equity and inclusion has been a consistent theme throughout her career. During her time at Decmil, she championed initiatives that increased Indigenous employment from one per cent to more than six per cent nationally, the highest level in the company's history.
She says joining the Glass Jar Australia Board aligns strongly with both her professional experience and personal values.
“Growing up in regional communities, I saw that not all young people have access to the same opportunities. I've always believed that if we want things to change, we need to look in the mirror and ask what we can do to make things better.
What excites me about Shooting Stars is the way it helps young women see what they can offer the world, back themselves and understand their worth.”

Jessica is an executive leader with almost 20 years' experience in Human Resources and People & Culture leadership across the mining, construction and resources sectors. She holds a Master of Human Resources Management from Edith Cowan University, has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course, and serves on the Australian Resources and Energy Employer Association Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board.
She has worked closely with executive leaders and boards on governance, risk and strategic decision-making, and is passionate about diversity, inclusion and leadership development.
Jessica is also an award-winning Perth-based artist whose work explores themes of community, leadership and the achievements of women. Particularly through her Women in Sport collection, she celebrates the stories, strength and resilience of women while advocating for greater visibility and recognition of women's achievements.
