Our Team

FRAN HAINTZ
Executive Officer – Shooting Stars
With over 25 years experience in rural and remote Indigenous communities, non-government organisations, small business and corporate Australia, along with a history of involvement in netball at all levels from grassroots through to the Board of Netball WA, Fran has extensive experience in community development, success in program delivery, strategic and financial planning across Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Previous roles saw Fran lead Wangka Maya Pilbara Aboriginal Language Centre from a three staff organisation to a thriving 30 plus in its peak, all working out of the $3M purpose-built facility built under Fran’s watch. In her role at BHP Billiton, Fran lead the strategic development, implementation and management of the Education and Development Strategy and Programs for Indigenous and non-Indigenous stakeholders including strategy development, legacy project design, and infrastructure project management, contract and financial management and provision of business support for community partners, in particular NGOs. Fran’s budget was in excess of $20m annually.

Fran is proud to employ staff from a female Indigenous background in all positions of responsibility she has held, to further address the situation of inequity and gender imbalance of female Indigenous employment. Where there isn’t opportunity to find an Indigenous woman to employ in a position Fran will endeavour to upskill and build capacity in the community to bridge the divide.

Fran is passionate about education, Indigenous advancement toward equality and netball!
